Conn. College defeats Women’s Swimming & Diving

NEW LONDON, Conn. – Connecticut College notched a 182-105 win over the Roger Williams University Women's Swimming & Diving team Tuesday evening.

Kristen Grandonico (Portland, Maine), Jacqui Cohen (Commack, N.Y.), Stephanie Niman (Bristol, Conn.), and Sarah Mamula (Madison, Conn.) finished first in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:47.11. Niman also placed second in the 50 Yard Freestyle, with a time of 26.71.

Alana Mercurio (Hope, R.I.) earned a win for RWU, winning the 400 Yard IM in 5:04.82.

The Hawks also claimed both diving events, with Brittany Bouffard (Bristol, Conn.) claiming first with a score of 183.90 in the 3-Meter and Laura Folsom (Simsbury, Conn.) totaling 215.92 in the 1-Meter.

Ursula Nickerson (Torrington, Conn.) took second in the 200 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 2:35.40

Roger Williams (3-5) will host Eastern Connecticut State University on Saturday.
