BRISTOL, R.I. - The Roger Williams University Women’s Lacrosse Team is anxious for the season to begin as they continue with their pre-season practices. The team lost three valuable players to graduation, but returns with many to continue their success. The Hawks begin their season with six seniors, and a strong mix of juniors, sophomores, and freshman.

BRISTOL, R.I.- Hawks Equestrian Team members Chelsea Weiner (Syosset, N.Y.) and Scott Pearson (Locust Valley, N.Y.) were named RWU Female and Male Athletes of the Week, respectively, after helping the team to a fifth place finish Saturday at the University of Connecticut Show.

BRISTOL, RI — The Pilgrim League has announced its year-end awards, including its First, Second and Honorable Mention All-Stars and the League’s Scholar Athlete All-Star Team. Five Hawks earned spots on the All-Star teams while five were named Scholar Athletes.

BRISTOL, R.I. – Sailing teammates Bjarki Gunnarsson (River Vale, N.J.) and Tyler Wilson (Woodville, Mass.) were named RWU Male Athletes of the Week after performing well together this past weekend in the Bob Bavier Team Race in Charleston, S.C. The pair helped the Hawks to a fifth place finish, including numerous wins over top-20 nationally ranked teams.

Equestrian
BRISTOL, R.I.- Hawks Equestrian Team member Scott Pearson (Locust Valley, N.Y.) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week after helping the team to a fifth place finish Saturday at the University of Connecticut Show.
Competing in Open Fences, Novice Fences, and Novice Flat, Pearson finished as runner-up for the Hawks. The junior also did well in Open Flat, picking up a fifth place finish in the event. Pearson’s outstanding performance aided the Hawks in their fifth place finish at UConn.
Pearson and the team return to action Saturday when they travel to Rehoboth, Mass., to compete in the Johnson & Wales University Show beginning at 9:30 a.m.

BRISTOL, R.I.- Hawks Equestrian Team member Chelsea Weiner (Syosset, N.Y.) was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week after helping the team to a fifth place finish Saturday at the University of Connecticut Show.
Competing in the Intermediate Fences event, Weiner posted a first-place finish for the Hawks. The freshman also performed well in the Intermediate Flat, registering a third-place finish in the event. Her performance helped the Hawks to gather 25 points in the event, just 11 behind the day’s champions, UConn.
Weiner and the team return to action Saturday when they travel to Rehoboth, Mass., to compete in the Johnson & Wales University Show beginning at 9:30 a.m.
