BRISTOL, R.I. – After falling behind 9-0 after the first two bouts, the RWU Wrestling team rallied for eight straight wins and the 34-9 victory over visiting WPI, Wednesday, in the Campus Recreation Center main gymnasium.  

WPI freshmen Brian Jennings (Danbury, Conn.) posted a 7-1 win at 125 and Mike Perruccio (Pelham, N.H.) pinned his opponent at 133 to give the Engineers the early 9-0 lead. But the visitors would not earn another point as RWU scored 34 unanswered points beginning with freshman Michael Forlenza's (Montville, N.J.)17-0 technical fall victory at 6:09 in the 141 bout.  

Two RWU decisions sandwiched freshman Collin Crowell's (Hampstead, N.H.) 9-0 major decision over NEWA's fifth-ranked 157 pounder, Tyler Howe (Danbury, Conn.).  

In the 174 match RWU sophomore Shane Parcel (Pine Brook, N.J.) needed 3:20 to pin his opponent and in the 184 match classmate Philip Ernst (Succasunna, N.J.) posted an 11-3 major decision over his opponent. 

After an RWU forfeit win at 197, senior Nick Cambi (Cohasset, Mass.), ranked 8^th in the nation in the heavyweight division, scored a hard fought 2-0 decision over WPI senior Anthony Corbo (Port Washington, N.Y.). 

The win improves the Hawks' final dual meet record to 8-12, while WPI falls to 1-12. The Engineers return to action Monday at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy beginning at 8:15 p.m. The Hawks now rest until Feb. 26^th when the travel to Trinity College for the New England Division III Championships.
