HOLYOKE, Mass. – The Roger Williams Club Hockey team played an impressive physical game against Springfield College with a win on November 19th.
Roger Williams led off the scoring with an unassisted goal by Junior Sean Reilly. Dan Kelley followed Reilly's goal with a powerplay goal assisted by Senior Captain Paul Bishop. Early in the second period, Captain Paul Bishop pulled the team out of the tie with a goal assisted by Sophomore Zach Boorman. In the third period, Captain CJ Younis pulled the team ahead with a goal assisted by Zack Boorman and Sophomore Alex Loebs. Captain Paul Bishop secured the Hawks win with his powerplay goal near the end of the third period, assisted by Boorman and CJ Younis. This victory placed the Hawks at a 9-0-1 standing. They played an impressive game against one of the most difficult competitors so far this season. The Hawks next game will be on Sunday November 21 at 4:30 pm against Lyndon State College.
