NEW BEDFORD, Mass. – The Roger Williams Club Hockey celebrated their tenth consecutive win this Sunday with a 7-1 victory over Lyndon State College.
Senior Captain Paul Bishop started off the period with a powerplay goal, assisted by senior Captain Richard Dart. The Hawks kept up their scoring streak with four more goals during the second period. Early in the second period, freshman Sean Williamson came out with a goal assisted by Richard Dart. Sophomore Michael Knox scored two back-to-back goals. The first one was unassisted and the second goal was assisted by Sean Williamson. With 18 seconds left in the game, sophomore Joe O'Brien pulled the Hawks lead 5-0 with his goal assisted by Richard Dart and senior Jake Robinson. The third period sealed the game for the Hawks, with a goal by Richard Dart, assisted by sophomore Zack Boorman, and an additional goal by sophomore Ryan Cutter, assisted by junior Robert Engel. This victory puts the Hawks at 10-0-1, dominating their conference. Their next game will be on Friday at Tufts University.
