Halliday named TCCC Offensive Player of the Week
BRISTOL, R.I.—Roger Williams University Women’s Lacrosse team member Claire Halliday (Trenton, N.J.) earned The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for her tremendous play this past week.
In the Hawks’ 14-6 TCCC Quarterfinal victory Saturday over Colby-Sawyer, Halliday led her team with five goals and one assist. Earlier in the week her strong play helped the Hawks secure second place in the playoffs, as she notched three points in the 8-7 win against Western New England College. She also posted a team-high four draw controls and four ground balls in the contest.
Next up for Halliday and the Hawks is the conference tournament semifinal at RWU against UNE on Wednesday, May 5th at 4:00 p.m.
