Goodwick named RWU Male Athlete of the Week
BRISTOL, R.I.—Roger Williams University men’s track and field team member Jamie Goodwick (Newtown, Conn.) has been named RWU Male Athlete of the Week. He led the Hawks with 36.5 points in this weekend’s TCCC Championship meet, which the Hawks won by over a 140-point margin.
For the second year in a row, Goodwick was victorious in the Pole Vault, earning ten points while clearing 12’0”. Also in the field, he took third place in the long jump. On the track, Goodwick finished second in the 100m dash, third in the 200m dash, and fourth in the 110 meter hurdles. As a member of the 4x400m relay team, he helped the team take first place in this event as well.
Goodwick will be competing alongside his qualifying teammates for the New England Division III Championships this Friday and Saturday at Tufts University.
