Roebucks earn TCCC Offensive and Defensive Awards
Logan and Tyler Roebuck earn TCCC honors
BRISTOL, R.I. – Brothers Logan and Tyler Roebuck (Montgomery, N.Y.) earned The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week Award, respectively, after helping the RWU Men’s Lacrosse team extend their winning streak to eight games with two more victories last week.
Playing at Attack, Logan totaled nine points in two games along with six ground balls. The junior notched three goals and one assists in the 13-4 win at Curry Wednesday before scoring five goals at in the 12-4 win at Gordon Saturday.
Meanwhile in goal, Tyler posted a .767 save percentage and a 3.73 goals-against average in the two games. Both games featured double-digit saves, including 11 against Curry and 12 against Gordon.
The two wins secured a home TCCC Quarterfinal contest for RWU Saturday as the fourth seed hosting fifth-seeded Salve Regina University. Game time is still to be determined.
