BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University freshman pitcher Ben O'Shea (Reading, Mass.) was named TCCC Rookie of the Week after posting a 2-0 record with a 2.08 ERA over the course of two starts against Suffolk and TCCC rival New England College.

Last Wednesday against Suffolk, O'Shea scattered six hits and allowed just one earned run in seven innings of work. Sunday, against NEC, O'Shea allowed just two earned runs on five hits in six innings. Over 13 innings for the week, O'Shea allowed just three earned runs on 11 hits. He struck out 12 and did not walk a batter.

O'Shea leads the Hawks in wins, ERA (3.22), and tied for the team lead in strikeouts with 27.

Roger Williams will host Salve Regina University Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m.
