GALES FERRY, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team competed at the Region I Finals this past weekend, with Olivia Cornell (Rowley, Mass.) and Sarah Cholewa (Griswold, Conn.) qualifying to Zone I Finals at Mount Holyoke College.

At Regionals over the weekend, Cornell won Novice Flat while Cholewa won Walk-Trot. The two Hawks will represent Roger Williams University as the top riders in their division.

For Cornell, this is her second straight season qualifying for Zones. Last season, she competed at the Zone 1, Region 1 Championship in the Walk-Trot-Canter division. Cholewa will be making her first appearance at Zones.

The two riders will compete at the Zone I Finals on April 3 at Mount Holyoke College.
