Cox Sports to televise Men's Basketball's regular season home finale
BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Athletic Department is pleased to announced that tonight’s Men’s Basketball game at 8:00 p.m. against Anna Maria College will be televised by Cox Sports. The game will air Thursday, February 11th at 10:00 p.m.
Roger Williams enters the game looking to snap a two-game skid and earn its fourth Commonwealth Coast Conference win of the season. The Hawks currently stand in ninth place in the TCCC and are coming off a tough 71-73 overtime loss to the University of New England.
Anna Maria also has dropped its past two games, a 63-65 loss to Endicott last Wednesday and a 61-67 setback to Wentworth on Saturday. The AMCats are knotted with the Hawks in a four-way tie for ninth-place in the TCCC with a 3-6 conference record.
The last time these two teams faced off, Anna Maria defeated the Hawks 80-70 on February 10, 2009. Former Hawk Billy Barrett (’10) scored his 1,000th career point in the game.
