Men's and Women's Tennis participates in food drive in Bristol
BRISTOL, R.I. - The RWU Men’s and Women’s Tennis teams teamed up with the Bristol Good Neighbor’s Soup Kitchen in a food drive that spanned the entire town of Bristol.
The team members, along with other volunteers from the Bristol Rotary Club and Bristol Fire Department, went door-to-door throughout neighborhoods in Bristol asking for food donations towards the soup kitchen. Highlighting the day’s activities were the volunteers being lead by fire trucks from Bristol’s Bravest, sounding their horns as they solicited food donations.
“It is great to get our teams together to join up with the community and help make major contributions to food donations for the local shelters,” said Head Coach Neil Caniga.
