Men’s Rugby Alum Dave LaFlamme named High School All-American Assistant Coach

BOULDER, Colo. Roger Williams University Men's Rugby alum David LaFlamme has been announced as the USA Rugby Assistant Forwards Coach for the High School All-Americans.

 

LaFlamme was selected following a set of interviews conducted by USA Rugby's CEO and President of Operations Nigel Melville with input from Eddie O'Sullivan, the men's national team, and Matt Sherman, the National Age Grade Director.

 

“I was impressed with the number and quality of applicants,” Melville said. “There was tremendous competition for these places and I look forward to working with all of our high performance teams.”

 

Dave LaFlamme, class of 1992, played on the RWU Men's Rugby team from 1987 to 1992. LaFlamme then went on to coach the team in the mid-90s before moving onto to coaching positions with Keresly RFC, Coventry, England and Brown University.  He currently serves as Head Coach of Brown University's Men's Rugby Team and is a 2006 Roger Williams Rugby Hall of Fame inductee.
