BRISTOL, R.I.- RWU sophomore Laurin Pendleton (Southwick, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and RWU Female Athlete of the Week after her strong performance in the Hawks' pair of wins last week.
RWU began the week Thursday facing a strong conference opponent at Colby-Sawyer College. The team found themselves down early, 1-0, but tied the game before Pendleton tallied the game-winning goal in the game's 32nd minute.
Saturday, at Eastern Nazarene College, Pendleton connected for two unassisted goals, including the eventual game-winner, in the team's 3-0 victory.
She currently leads the team with seven goals and 51 shots in 11 games. She and the Hawks return to action Wednesday, hosting Nichols College in a 4 p.m. contest.
