BRISTOL, R.I.- The RWU wrestling team dropped its home match Wednesday to No. 20 Johnson & Wales University, 35-10. The Wildcats posted wins in seven of the 10 bouts.

The Hawks jumped out to a 10-0 lead to start the match, beginning with a major decision win by Kenneth Ford (Meriden, Conn.) in the 174 weight class. Back-to-back decisions by James Woods (Demarest, N.J.) and Dan Woods (Demarest, N.J.)would prove to be the final points for the Hawks.

A Wildcat pin in the 285 match followed by a major decision win at 125 and the score was quickly evened-up at 10-10. The Wildcats pulled away from RWU with two pins and a major decision after earning three points in the 133 bout. A DQ in the final match gave the Wildcats their 11th win of the season and third in the Pilgrim League. RWU falls to 8-3 and 1-1 in the same conference.

RWU next travels to Cambridge, Mass., to face both MIT and Bridgewater State, Weds., Jan. 28, at 5 p.m.
