STORRS, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team totaled 18 points en route to a sixth-place finish at the Connecticut College Show Saturday afternoon.
Karen Quinn (Berkley, Mass.) and Olivia Cornell (Rowley, Mass.) had the only two wins on the day for Roger Williams, as Quinn finished first in Walk-Trot-Canter, while Cornell earned the victory in Novice Flat.
In Walk Trot, both Sarah Cholewa (Griswold, Conn.) and Danielle Stucchi (Framingham, Mass.) had third-place finishes in their respective events. Also earning third were Amelia Stasny (Bernardston, Mass.) in Intermediate Flat, Alicia Levy (Wantagh, N.Y.) in Novice Flat, and Amy Silvia (Walpole, Mass.) in Walk-Trot-Canter.
Shannon O'Keefe (Glastonbury, Conn.) also took fifth in Open Fences and sixth in Open Flat, while Miranda Downing (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) finished sixth in Walk Trot. Kayla Waskiewicz (Bristol, R.I.) came away with a sixth-place showing in Open Flat.
Roger Williams will participate in its final show of the fall season Saturday at the Wesleyan show at Windcrest Farm, scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m.
