Women's Rugby drops first game of the program
NORTON, Mass. - The Roger Williams University Women's Rugby club suffered its first loss since the inception of the program last fall, as the Hawks were held scoreless by Wheaton, 15-0 on Saturday.
Despite excellent runs by Emily Holland, Brittany Gallin, Stephanie Watson and Alison Littleton, the Hawks could not touch down a try, as the relentless Wheaton forwards won most of the rucks and retained possession throughout the contest. Wheaton is now 3-1 in DIII play, while the Hawks have a 2-1-1 record.
Roger Williams (1-1) host Bentley College Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
