FARMINGTON, Conn. – The Roger Williams University Equestrian team came away with a fifth-place showing at the Trinity College Show Saturday afternoon.
Ashley Gagnon (Lunenburg, Mass.) finished the day as high point rider of the show. She was the only rider to win two events, taking the blue ribbon in Intermediate Flat and Novice Fences.
Becky Bryant (West Boylston, Mass.) also earned a win for the Hawks, taking first in Walk Trot, with Miranda Downing (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) finishing runner-up in the same event.
Emily Hamilton (South Windsor, Conn.) took third place in Walk-Trot-Canter, while Amelia Stasny (Bernardston, Mass.) finished fourth in both Intermediate Fences and Intermediate Flat.
The Hawks also earned fifth place finishes by Shannon O'Keefe (Glastonbury, Conn.) in Open Fences, Samantha Taylor (Essex Junction, Vt.) in Novice Fences, and Brittany Cornell (Rowley, Mass.) in Walk-Trot-Canter.
Roger Williams will co-host next Sunday's show at Windswept Farm with Brown University, beginning at 9:00 a.m.
