BRISTOL, R.I. – The Roger Williams University Men’s Cross Country team took home the top place at the RWU Invitational Saturday afternoon.
Senior Kevin Clark (Feeding Hills, Mass.) came in second-place in the 8k run, finishing just one second behind Herrell Siller, Jr. (Palo Alto, Calif.) of Newbury College. This marks the second straight week that Clark has finished runner-up at an event, getting second last Saturday at the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College.
Four other Hawks runners achieved top-20 finishes, helping RWU win the event. Jonathon Ellis (Yonkers, N.Y.) came in 13th place with a time of 29:54. Tim Eynatian’s (Chelmsford, Mass.) time of 30:01 held down the 15th place position with Andrew Gallant (Merrimac, Mass.) crossing right behind him, finishing 16fh in 30:02. Tim O’Koren (Franklin, Mass.) rounded out the top-20 Hawk finishes, coming in 19th at 30:17.
Roger Williams will host its annual alumni race on Saturday, October 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Colt State Park.
