Close to the end of each academic year (usually during the first week of May,) the Department of Athletics holds a banquet to recognize the accomplishments of all varsity teams as well as the individual accomplishments of athletes and coaches. Student athletes, athletic/recreation staff, and select university administrators are invited at no cost. There are also a limited number of tickets available for purchase by family members of student-athletes.
During the evening a buffet dinner is served, followed by student and alumni speakers and the presentation of numerous awards. Each team is individually recognized for their accomplishments throughout their respective seasons, while individuals earning All-Conference Player of the Year honors, All Region honors and All-America honors are presented their award on stage. All seniors are also invited to the stage to be recognized and the four-year participants are presented with a gift from the Athletic Department and Alumni Affairs Office.
