Kleitz named TCCC Athlete of the Week
BRISTOL, R.I. – In helping the team earn sole possession of first place, Roger Williams University junior Dan Kleitz (Wethersfield, Conn.) was named Athlete of the Week by the Commonwealth Coast Conference.
Kleitz has stellar performances this season, helping the Hawks maintains their undefeated record. He earned two critical points at #3 singles and #1 doubles as the Hawks claimed a significant 6-3 victory over Nichols College in a battle between the TCCC unbeaten leaders. The singles victory and the doubles triumph with partner David Lange (Great Neck, N.Y.) improved RWU to 8-0 in TCCC play and claimed sole possession of first place in the standings.
Roger Williams is currently on a ten-match winning streak and will host Anna Maria College Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m.
