BRISTOL, R.I. - Senior Emily Tran (Sharon, Mass.) has been named RWU Female Athlete of the Week for her performance at the TCCC Championships this past weekend. Tran led the team to its tenth straight TCCC title as she finished in third place.

The team narrowly edged out the second place team from Salve Regina by just one point in the overall standings to get the victory.  Tran finished with a time of 24:10 putting her in third place as she was the first RWU runner to cross the line.  The Hawks would have five runners finish in the top 15 to beat out the Seahawks for the Championship.

Tran and her teammates will be in action this coming Saturday as they travel to Williamstown, Mass. for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship hosted by Williams College.
