Women's Basketball
BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University freshman Kaitlyn Bovee (Berlin, Conn.) was named RWU Female Athlete of the Week for her outstanding performance during the Hawks’ two wins last week, posting 23 points and 18 rebounds.
In last week’s 65-58 overtime win against Connecticut College, Bovee stood-out scoring 11 points and tying for a team-high eight rebounds. In a match up with Simmons College Saturday, Bovee racked up a team-high seven offensive and three defensives rebounds in addition to making five of eight shots. Her 12 points tied for a team-high in the 75-49 victory.
This marks Bovee’s first RWU Female Athlete of the Week and during the week of November 22nd, Bovee was awarded with The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. The Hawks are currently 6-2 and face Rhode Island College Jan. 6th upon returning from winter recess.

Men's Basketball
BRISTOL, R.I. – Roger Williams University junior Pat Flanagan (Somerville, Mass.) was named RWU Male Athlete of the Week for his strong play in the past week.
In the team’s first game of the week Flanagan nearly posted a double-double with eight points and a team-high nine rebounds. Later in the week, the Hawks earned a victory over Coast Guard, 66 -61. Flanagan tied for the team-high 11 points, while also recording four rebounds, four blocked shots and chipping in one assist.
The Hawks are currently 6-2 and are scheduled to play University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth Wednesday at 7 p.m. on the Corsairs home court.
